DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will architect, optimize and enhance our CI/CD pipelines to fully automate the releases of the QBase ground control and AI missions to our drones. With our two world-class teams, currently consisting of fifteen members, you will play a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of software deployment for our high-tech drones. You will work closely with stakeholders from our AI and QBase team as well as neighboring departments to streamline and optimize the software development, testing and deployment. While ensuring high code quality and lean software deployment pipelines, you will support Quantum-Systems in its mission to become the leader for aerial data collection solutions with unmanned aerial systems (sUAV).
What is your Day to Day Mission:
- You design, optimize and test CI pipelines and delivery systems, put them into operation and provide support for the individual software engineering teams
- You architect, provision and scale our infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud
- You develop tools to support data management, test automation, automated code checks (static code analysis), or drone calibration tools
- You collaborate with all the engineering teams to define continuous improvement plans
- You design and implement functionalities to efficiently connect Gitlab with issue-trackers and wiki-like tools
What you bring to the team:
- You have successfully completed an university degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field
- You bring 3+ years of SW testing experience
- You have in-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools like Gitlab/Github, JIRA/Redmine as well as infrastructure automation tools like Jenkins/Ansible and Docker
- You are comfortable in using build tools (CMake, make, etc…)
- You have experience in architecting CI/CD pipelines and delivery systems, how to efficiently put them into operation, and you provide support for the individual software engineering teams
- You have experience in IT administration
- Bonus: You are familiar with embedded deployment tools (Mender, Yocto, …)
- Bonus: You have experience with the Nvidia Jetson platform and how to cross-compile software
