Fitch Group is currently seeking a based out of our Frankfurt office.

The Fitch Group Data Privacy Office is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data privacy policies, procedures, and initiatives across all departments and subsidiaries of the organization. This dynamic team ensures compliance with global data protection regulations fostering a culture of privacy and data protection awareness.

What We Offer:

Director level position to implement with opportunity to expand your technical and legal knowledge in the global world of data privacy. Develop management skills and mentor others directly and indirectly at various levels of expertise. Will allow you to retain/obtain knowledge, global exposure and certifications for DP expertise. Contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives that impact Fitch’s global operations and compliance with global data protection regulations. We’ll Count on You To:

Actively manage data privacy and independently resolve issues. Represent the Data Privacy Office with Compliance, Risk or Legal consultation. Report to the Fitch Group Data Privacy Manager to advise the Chief Risk Officer and Marketing Heads of Fitch Group and its subsidiaries regarding compliance trends as regulations evolve globally. Manage the vendor/supplier Data Privacy Assessments including data privacy and data protection due diligence, data privacy related contract reviews and amendments, transfer impact assessments (TIA), Data Processing Addendum (DPA). Coordinate with various first line managers responsible for the appropriate implementation of data privacy rules and regulations across Fitch Group. Risk assesses Fitch operations and its policies and procedures, maintain Data Privacy Coordinator training program and RoPA documentation. Handle Data Breach cases and notifications as well as Data Subject Requests.

What You Need to Have:

Maintain and gain working knowledge of ongoing challenges and case studies related to international data privacy laws. Technological awareness and curiosity to learn and to adapt systems where needed. Responsible and communication skills to work independently and build cooperative relationships. Desire to work with various legal entities to ensure compliance with data privacy laws. Strong legal background on data privacy with a passion to learn and achieve (3+ years of work experience is expected). Strong communication skills in principal language of English.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

Language skills of other languages a plus. Medium level of technological expertise for data tracing and new AI technologies. Privacy Certifications from accredited organizations ( IAPP: CIPP/E/M)
