Job Description
  1. Maintenance and Repair:

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on utility vehicles, including trucks, buses, and other specialized vehicles.
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Replace or repair defective parts, components, and systems to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and safely.
  2. Installation and Calibration:

    • Install and calibrate electronic and mechanical systems in utility vehicles.
    • Ensure proper functioning of systems such as engine control units, braking systems, and electronic control modules.
    • Upgrade vehicle systems and components to meet technical and safety standards.
  3. System Integration:

    • Integrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to ensure seamless operation.
    • Work on the integration of new technologies, such as automated and electric vehicle systems, into utility vehicles.
    • Ensure compatibility and functionality of integrated systems.
  4. Testing and Diagnostics:

    • Conduct tests and diagnostics to assess vehicle performance and identify issues.
    • Use specialized diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
    • Perform road tests to verify the effectiveness of repairs and maintenance.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
    • Prepare reports on vehicle conditions, repair work completed, and parts used.
    • Update and manage service logs and maintenance schedules.
  6. Compliance and Safety:

    • Adhere to safety regulations and standards during all maintenance and repair activities.
    • Ensure vehicles comply with legal and environmental standards.
    • Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  7. Customer Service:

    • Communicate with clients to understand their vehicle issues and provide technical advice.
    • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining repair processes.
    • Work closely with other technicians and service advisors to ensure customer satisfaction.


Requirements
  • Education:

    • A vocational qualification in mechatronics, automotive engineering, or a related field.
    • Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training program in mechatronics.
  • Experience:

    • Previous experience working as a mechatronic technician or in a similar role, preferably with utility vehicles.
    • Experience with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in vehicles.
Skills:
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in vehicles.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues.
    • Attention to detail and precision in performing repairs and maintenance.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
    • Ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical clients.
  • Physical Stamina:

    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy parts and equipment.

Driver’s License:
