KG Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As our Supplier Claim Manager you are responsible for establishing and implementing a systematic claim management framework within the Central Procurement organization with a focus on Project Procurement. Together with the buying organization you will ensure increased discipline of our suppliers with respect to quality and on time delivery based on high claim recovery rate. The role involves initiating, reviewing and evaluating claims, enforcing claims against suppliers, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and communicating with suppliers and internal collaborators.At Project Procurement Team, our aim is to contribute to Siemens Energy and its Customers. Our actions are consistently based on striving for productivity, quality, availability, and digitalization.Our purchasing team operates from different office sites in Germany, China, USA and Romania and purchase for global power plant projects. How You’ll Make an Impact Develop supplier claim management framework, processes and responsibilities for project procurement and overall Central Procurement organization Establish tool to facilitate claiming and make claim progress transparent and continuously improve claim management systematic Push execution of quality or delay caused claims together with buyers and support them in execution of claim with templates, methods and other suggestions Raise, negotiate and execute critical claims yourself Ensure clear linkage of claim transparency to supplier caused NCC reporting, analyze claims data and prepare reports on claim trends and performance Identify and address weak spots in the organization with respect to claiming, resolve challenges and issues related to claims processing and communicate with legal, internal clients and collaborators, to handle claims effectively What You Bring Degree in business, finance, or related field or industrial training Longstanding professional experience in procurement, contract management, project execution or similar functions Strong understanding and interest of legal frameworks, contracts - but no legal background required Track record of successfully working in cross-functional teams on critical topics Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high detail orientation Full working proficiency in English – German language skills are a plus
