Your contribution to TenneT

The Security Specialist is responsible for implementing the information security plan and responding to security events. He/she ensures the security and integrity of TenneT’s critical information and processes, making sure the light keeps on. Further responsibility of the Security Specialist lies in safeguarding all data, devices, infrastructure and systems against malware, exploit attempts, intrusions and attacks.

Information Security Plan

Implement the information security plan based on the corporate security plan, compliant with the required guidelines and German regulatory laws and requirements Deploy and maintain information security technologies with respect to the latest technological advancements in the field of cybersecurity Identify critical systems and data to implement protective measures for these assets Support Service Managers on operational information security topics Provide security awareness, education, best practices, ISMS training and communication to stakeholders and TenneT as a whole

Incident response

Establish, deploy and test an information security response plan, effectively resolving information security incidents Monitor systems and data for security events to detect potential security incidents Investigate security incidents, determine the extent of damage and implement corrective actions to prevent similar incidents Report security incidents to relevant stakeholders and take appropriate steps

Your profile and background

Completed Master/Bachelor education (preferred computer science, IT/cyber security or similar), supplemented by CISSP, CISM, EDP audit and/or CISA At least 5 years of practical IT Security, Risk & Compliance experience Demonstrated knowledge of the fields of information security, IT compliance management and risk management Strong oral, written and presentation skills Proficient in the English and German language, both written and oral
