SENIOR CONSULTANT - PROCUREMENT & VALUE CREATION (UK)

Your mission

This is an opportunity to develop your procurement consulting skill to the next level as a key player in a small but growing team. As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with colleagues and clients to deliver procurement excellence projects across the full range of our services.
You have fundamental experience from consulting projects in procurement value optimization or transformation and want to take the next step in your career. You enjoy working with clients to develop solutions for cost reduction in procurement that really create value for the company. You want to take responsibility, but know that success is through the whole team, and not just the individual.
 
Actively listen to clients and support their issuesProactively engage with, and develop relationships with, clients at different levels as neededActively manage your own work and deliverables in line with project objectives and budgetsTake responsibility and demonstrate initiativeCreate high quality outputsCommunicate clearly and have high professional standardsHave excellent analytical capability to solve business problemsReach solid and justifiable conclusionsUndertake work in an accurate and robust way, clearly documenting assumptionsRecognise inconsistencies and logically challenge client informationTransfer skills, experience, and knowledge to colleaguesProduce project updates and reporting dashboardsInput to the development of the business including enhancement of methodologies and operations

Your profile

​Our Senior Consultants bring a range of skills to the H&Z team. Ideally you will have:

An excellent degree and/or MCIPS qualificationDemonstrable career experience as a procurement consultant with a recognized UK or European consultancy Background of personally delivering procurement outcomes across direct and indirect spend areasStrong analytical and commercial skills, with attention to detailProject management skillsetPassion for solving complex problemsClear understanding of technical issuesExcellent communication and influencing skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointGreat people skills and able to work hard as part of a teamAbility to work well under pressureFluent in English, with another language as an advantageDesire to play a key role in developing a growing Procurement consultancy

What do we offer you?

Working Arrangements & Travel
Our Consultants are completely flexible and mobile in their work; travelling and operating on-site with clients, working with our teams from H&Z offices, and also working from home. Work location is determined by the client, the project, and the business. There is no fixed pattern, and each week could be different, with travel requirements determined at very short notice, therefore you must be flexible, enjoy travel, and be able to work remotely.
