Your Responsibilities The opportunity: The purpose of this position is to establish a design portfolio for our global campuses and student accommodation, enhance the existing look and feel of the campuses among all disciplines, design, graphics and wayfinding, AV, FF&E and lead our global brand facilities into a new era of education. Key Activities & Responsibilities: Develop and communicate a comprehensive design concept and strategy that aligns with our brand and project objectivesLead the design team in conceptualizing, planning, and executing innovative and visually captivating real estate projectsOversee the architectural and interior design processes for Education and accommodation real estate projectsCollaborate with external architectural firms and design consultants to ensure designs meet project goals and regulatory requirementsInspire, mentor, and manage a team of architects, interior designers, and design professionals, fostering a creative and collaborative work environmentSet clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and promote skill development among team membersManage the design phases of multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality assuranceCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, construction, and marketing, to align design concepts with project objectivesEngage with real estate developers and clients to understand their design preferences, requirements, and project visionsPresent design concepts to clients and stakeholders, gather feedback, and integrate it into project designsEnsure design excellence and innovation while adhering to local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standardsReview and approve design drawings, specifications, and materials selectionsYour profileBachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. Master's degree is a plusProven experience as a Design manager or similar senior design role in the real estate industryPortfolio showcasing architectural and interior design projects in residential and commercial real estate in particular education, shared offices, and student accommodation Proficiency in design software and tools AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and rendering software)Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsIn-depth knowledge of design trends, sustainability practices, and construction methodsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyRendering capabilitiesKnowledge in fit out disciplinary’s with emphasis on FF&E industryExperience in design for shared office companiesGerman and English speakingWork experience in Germany, UK or CanadaWhy us?Opportunity to work with a great team in a dynamic and international environment30 days of vacationVarious online language courses and opportunities to participate in online collaboration courses IBM Design Thinking)Numerous campus events from the fields of art, culture, business and scienceOpportunity to develop and implement new ideas and conceptGlobal traveling About usGUS Germany GmbH (GGG) is an innovative and dynamic network of world-class higher education institutions that is committed to empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to make a positive impact in the world.
