Main purpose of the role:

Identification and management of new business opportunities that are in line with our portfolio strategy and fuel the innovation pipeline of the BU Nutrition (Parenteral Nutrition).

Your assignments

You will contribute to the definition of a portfolio strategy including product ideation / business development You will be scouting new business opportunities (e.g. new products, services, indications) and mapping of potential targets/ assets by building on market, customer and competitive insights You will coordinate the concept development and assessment (e.g. paper-based feasibility) of business opportunities in interdisciplinary and often international teams and support in bringing them to approval by senior management You will support the investigation (due diligence) of external growth (e.g. M&A, in-licensing, strategic partnerships) You will facilitate the Ideation (internal & external) and Stage Gate Processes incl. idea generation, preparation of Stage Gate meetings (with idea owner) and follow-ups You will work closely with our Regions and Market Units to identify and evaluate regional / local growth potential You will collaborate closely with our Portfolio Strategy and Strategic Marketing teams as well other relevant functions within the BU (PjM, I&D, RA, MSA) and Fresenius Kabi to prepare new project proposals You will drive continuous improvement of the portfolio management process, especially of the ideation and stage-gate process to get faster from idea to project approval You will build, strengthen and maintain network(s) with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. agencies, HCPs, patients)

Your profile

You have a successfully completed university degree in medical studies, pharmacy, chemistry, or similar sciences You additional have completed a MSc, MBA, PhD with background in Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration is a strong plus You bring at least 7 years of professional experience in management consulting, business development, strategy or product and/or portfolio management in the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry You have a profound knowledge and experience in the healthcare market and pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the category of intravenous/injectable pharmaceuticals You have excellent skills in identifying and defining business opportunities, structuring complex topics and moderating discussions You bring relevant experience in developing financial plans and working with financial data for business plan development You are experienced in identifying sources of market and competitor insights, structuring and selecting relevant information You offer excellent communication skills to moderate and lead discussions on new product ideas with senior management You have strong presentation skills and communication skills ( the ability to steer discussion about new business and life cycle management opportunities) as well as a structured and out-of-the-box mind set You are fluent in English & German (written & spoken) additional languages would be an advantage You have very good analytical skills and a high level of creativity You are able to work in a complex, international environment
