Here’s your chance to innovate for the future As an Applications Engineer Student Worker at Texas Instruments (TI) you work with technical experts who are focused on leading-edge digital, mixed signal and analog products. We have a strong customer commitment and a great team spirit. If you are looking for an interesting and challenging position with a wide range of exciting responsibilities, you’ve come to the right place. In this position, you’ll work directly at TI's customers design challenges and support them on creating solutions that focus on ease-of-use and add value to their solution. You will also spend hands-on time in a TI lab tackling problems and delivering innovative development solutions that support our products and drive revenue.
Some of your tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Gaining a deep understanding of our power products - how to position them, how to test/debug applications, and how to solve customer problems at a system levelProviding technical support to field staff and customersUsing your technical expertise to influence customers’ part selection process and favourably positioning TI versus competitionSupporting the development of electrical models of power devices using software like PSPICE or SIMPLISHelping define new products and opportunities for future product developmentMinimum Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Bio-Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related fieldBasic understanding of analog circuitsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skillsDemonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryAbility to build lasting, influential relationships, both inside and outside the organizationAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environmentAbility to take initiative and drive for resultsAbility to influence decisions through a sense of urgency and competitive driveOur offer for you:
