Job Description

Functional reporting to Corporate HZI HSE Liaise with HZI corporate HSE to ensure HZI HSE minimum requirements as well as HSE best practices are implemented Ensure Local legal HSE requirements are complied with Establishes and administers the national and international legal register Keep HSE registers and statistics updated Development and application of hazard identification and risk assessment to reduce the risks to ALARP. Lead/ participate various studies ( HAZ-CON, SIMOPS etc.,) a general Risk Register is in place for every Project or location Responsibility and implementation for the legally binding ASA (Arbeitssicherheitsausschuß) meetings as well as focal point for external ASA specialists Monitor the implementation of the due Health examination for HZI employees Conducting HSE audits and accident investigations including root causes analysis, relevant improvement action plan and lessons learned Provide periodical HSE reports Periodical Site / Project visits to ensure compliance with HSE requirements Safety inspections at the workplace and on the construction or service/maintenance sites as well advising managers and employees on the evaluation, implementation, control and documentation of the resulting need for action to improve occupational safety Provide advices on suitable Personal Protective Equipment and keep inventory when requested Close cooperation with the specialist departments, the colleagues in the group, the company doctor, the authorities and, if necessary, with the customers Lead periodical HSE or emergency drills Identify and promote opportunities for HSE performance improvement Development of work and procedural instructions for the safe execution of work Creation of emergency and pandemic plans according to legal requirements and HZI guidelines also with regard to medical needs. Creation and implementation of instruction concepts and staff training that are effective in learning Expert monitoring of compliance with legal and company requirements Advice on suitable PPE and when requested managed relevant budget Participation in concept development, introduction and maintenance of efficient reporting Act as HSE focal point with possible local Clients approx. 40% edxpected to travel in Europe

Qualifications

Studies as an engineer or safety engineer or professional education to become a technician or master Completion of a state or trade association training course to become a specialist for occupational safety (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit = FASI) Minimum 5 years of professional experience as HSE leader in Construction and Service/Maintenance of larger projects Good knowledge of HSE management, the relevant standards (SCC, OSHAS 18001 or ISO 45001, ISO 9001) and good MS Office knowledge Qualified Auditor is an added value Familiar with German HSE regulation Very good communication skills in both German and fluent English (written and speaking) and the ability to quickly adapt to different conversation partner. Preparation of reports and tests. Training skills Strong assertiveness as well as a conceptual mindset with implementation strength and a high sense of responsibility Strong planning and organizational talent as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working Auditor Competence is an added value Communication and leadership skills
