Summary of the role
You will play a key role as Software Test Engineer in developing and deploying cutting-edge solutions for the Automated X-Ray Inspection industry. You'll be responsible for crafting robust test automation routines, providing expert support for new features, and collaborating closely across departments to ensure customer success.
Here's what you'll do:
Design and execute automated tests for existing and upcoming software features. Champion new product development by contributing to all phases, from requirements gathering to deployment. Support both internal teams and external customers:Troubleshoot application and system challenges for customers, guiding them towards solutions.Partner with engineering to develop workarounds for unmet customer needs. Lead the implementation of Azure DevOps and SCRUM methodologies. Travel to customer sites for new product deployments. Proactively manage and resolve technical issues before escalation. Maintain a deep understanding of our industry-leading X-Ray Inspection products. Collaborate extensively with R&D, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to bring high-value features to market. Bridge the gap between customer needs and technical solutions. Manage customer projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Role and Responsibilities
Provide 3rd level support for Applications and Field-Service, in-house and at customer sites. Provide help in creating product training for internal personnel. Perform applications qualification as needed on new manufactured products. Create automatic software test routines, embedded into the automatic build process. Communicate test results and make recommendations Provide the highest quality applications support with minimum supervision in a customer-focused culture. Understand and interpret the customer requirements and provide the best solution, working closely with Engineering and Product/Project Management. Be a key driver in introducing SCRUM Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner. Support global and regional applications efforts per company needs. Attend product launches as necessary. Support and promote company values and policies. Support sales with technical documentation on key applications. Carry out any ad-hoc technical support duties as required by the senior manager.Skills and Qualifications
Problem-solving skills Familiarity with testing processes, including creating a test plan and opening bugs Very good C# programming skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development. Team player with good organization skills and work ethic. Creative with strong problem-solving skills. Highly proactive with the ability to make decisions and ensure customer satisfaction. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Travel
