Your responsibilities
In line with its decarbonisation strategy Uniper has the ambition to increasingly produce and supply green products to its customers. New Green Power & Gas is building the new green asset portfolio. The Green Fuels & Infrastructure Business Area is responsible for the development and delivery of production assets for new green fuels such as green methanol and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Within this Business Area the “Green Fuels Nordic” Department is responsible for the front-to-end Delivery of all green methanol and SAF asset projects in the Nordic region that have received a GATE 2 approval.
The Head of Methanol Assets shall fulfill the following tasks and responsibilities:
• In close alignment with the Vice President Green Fuels Assets Nordic ensure the delivery of green methanol projects in the Nordic region based on a clear mandate
• Together with the (Senior) General Project Managers ensure that projects are delivered within Uniper Group standards on time, on budget and in line with the defined quality specifications
• Represent the green methanol projects in Project Committees together with the respective (Senior) General Project Manager
• Together with Vice President Green Fuels Assets Nordic support and enable the General Project Managers, Commercial Project Managers and Business Development Managers to deliver green methanol projects in Sweden and other Nordic countries in the future
• Facilitate collaboration and support across the whole Uniper organization for the development and delivery of green methanol projects
• Together with the Vice President Green Fuels Assets Nordic manage project-related interfaces with Uniper’s organisation in Sweden
• Steer the preparation and alignment of all relevant information and documents for the regular meetings of the Project Committees as well as for major decisions/ approvals (i.e. Strategic Decision “SD”, Financial Decision “FD”) related to the projects
• Facilitate the exchange and learning between green methanol projects
• Potentially take the role of General Project Manager for one of the projects
• Lead and develop a team of highly skilled experts and project managers
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Uniper is part of Sweden´s vital societal functions and critical infrastructure which is why this position may be subject to wartime placement. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Your profile
• University/academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or comparable
• More than 5 years of business experience in the energy industry
• First experience in a leadership role
• Excellent business and project development capabilities covering broad spectrum of technical, commercial, and contractual elements.
• Track record in project management and performance management
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Proven track record in building high performing and diverse teams across different working areas
• Fostering a psychologically safe and inclusive work environment, embracing the Uniper Way
• Willingness to travel regularly
• Fluent in English, Swedish and German language would be a plus
