Your tasks

Expert advice for employees/managers on handling hazardous substances in the workplace Research into legal requirements and the current state of science Development of proposals for measures Advice and support with implementation Organization and implementation of training courses on handling hazardous substances in the workplace Carrying out risk assessments and exposure assessments in accordance with GefstoffV Checking the safety data sheets for hazardous substances Research on specific handling (quantities, processing method, consideration of the working environment) Clarification of employee exposure Research into occupational exposure limits Assessment of the health risk associated with handling Development of proposed measures, support and monitoring of implementation Development of proposals for protective measures for handling hazardous substances, taking into account legal requirements Evaluating and prioritizing the measures in terms of their effectiveness and feasibility Supporting the specialist departments with the implementation of measures Creation of operating instructions for hazardous substances / maintenance of working materials lists Coordination of the technical assessment of the handling of hazardous substances in the workplace by other specialist departments (environmental protection, health protection, fire protection, occupational safety) Consolidation of the opinions into an overall assessment Preparation of operating instructions from these opinions Managing the lists of working materials Documentation and maintenance of data Organization and implementation of hazardous substance measurements Organization of workplace measurements on the handling of hazardous substances Commissioning and support of specialist service providers (e.g. TÜV, engineering offices) Documentation and evaluation of the measurement results Derivation of recommended measures

Your profile

Completed studies in chemistry, safety engineering, environmental protection or a comparable field of study Sound knowledge of the Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV) and relevant legal requirements Ability to provide technical advice to employees and managers on handling hazardous substances Experience in the development and implementation of measures to minimize hazards Ability to plan and carry out workplace measurements and risk assessments Ability to create and maintain operating instructions and lists of working materials Knowledge of the use of IT systems for documentation and administration Competence in evaluating safety data sheets and researching occupational exposure limits Ability to analyze measurement results and derive protective measures
