Staff Scientist, Bioinformatics

Leading technical aspects of bioinformatics and software projects within R&D, from requirements analysis to deployment. Providing bioinformatics expertise and insights to multidisciplinary teams. Collaborating with product management, domain specialists, and developers to define technical roadmaps and prioritize feature development. Mentoring junior team members to foster skill development and ensure high-quality work. Staying updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and integrating these into software development projects. Working with diverse teams to integrate bioinformatics knowledge into software solutions seamlessly.

Technical Requirements

Degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field; PhD or at least 6 years of professional experience in the relevant field. Solid understanding of bioinformatics concepts, algorithms, and data structures. Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases (, BLAST, Genome Browsers, NCBI databases). Familiarity with data analysis techniques and statistical methods. Proficiency in object-oriented software development (, .Net, Java), frameworks, and tools.
