Data Engineer (gn)

What are we doing? We are engineering the future, together with internal and external communities, by bringing new ways of thinking, next generation digital skills and strong ecosystem of partners and experts, to build the solutions of tomorrow.

Your role in our team 

Design, implementation and optimization of data management infrastructure: database, data warehouse, data lake Ensure scalability, flexibility and maintainability of the data solutions Integrate data from various sources in target system Building and maintaining data pipelines to extract, transform and load data from various sources Design and implementation of data models to enable efficient data usage Support of the data governance Monitoring and troubleshooting of data pipelines Represent the team and our key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders Mentoring team members Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create insights Collaboration with Oerlikon business departments counterparts advising and supporting the design of data applications

Your Profile  

Completed studies (..) in computer science/mathematics/engineering or similar Min. 5-7 Years of relevant working experience Excellent language skills in English, German beneficial Experience with established data manipulation languages (SQL and Python) General software development skills (source code management, debugging, testing, deployment, etc.) Strong experience in data modeling, data management and data querying (DWH, SQL/noSQL) Setting up ETL pipelines (python, spark) in a cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery und and Infrastructure as Code Familiar with data infrastructure and data governance Experience in project management is a plus including the ability to communicate with various internal and external partners Capability to solve complex tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment Self-motivated & -organized, ambitious and achievement driven
