Senior Financial Accountant

Your mission

• Responsibility in the process of invoices, while also verifying documentation and approvals for payment requests
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of payments, reconcile payments and address discrepancies with vendors
• Identify opportunities for improving AP workflow efficiency and implement best practices to enhance accuracy
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Record accurate and timely accrual entries to reflect incurred expenses and revenues
• Ensure proper recognition of expenses in the accounting period in which they are incurred and record revenue when earned
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements that adhere to accrual-based accounting principles, providing a more accurate representation of the company's financial position
• Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Investigate and address any discrepancies or variances found during the reconciliation process in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain thorough documentation supporting reconciliations, ensuring audit readiness and providing transparency in financial reporting
• Participates in team, departmental and general meetings

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA preferred
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the EU region
• Knowledge of DATEV and DE GAAP in a financial context is desirable
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work independent and proactive in an international environment
• Fluent German and English languages are required
