In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, ET-I / Computergraphik, we are looking for a researcher   at the earliest possible date at the following conditions:

• 100% = 39,83 hours  
• Pay grade 13  TV-L
• limited  28.02.2027

The Chair of Computer Graphics and Multimedia Systems investigates and develops methods of neural rendering in combination with the fusion and representation of scene data. Both, machine learning methods and classic model-based approaches are used for this purpose.

As part of the DFG research project "Polymorphic scene representation for improved instantaneous scene reconstruction", a PhD position with the following tasks is to be filled.

• Further development and implementation of efficient methods for model-based and neural representation and fusion of RGB-D sensor data on graphics hardware
• Evaluation of the developed methods using synthetic and real sensor and scene data
• Supervision of student work (bachelor, master, project theses) within the scope of the project

• Scientific university degree (master's degree or comparable) in computer science
• Very good knowledge in computer graphics and Machine Learning using C++ and python. Good knowledge in 3D scene reconstruction and GPU programming
• Willingness to lead with the ability to work in a team as well as communicative and organizational skills
• very good knowledge of English
