Dual Enrollment Coordinator

MAJOR FUNCTION : The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is housed within the Admissions and Records and will report to the Director of Recruiting and Admission.  The Coordinator’s role is responsible, independent and specialized work in dual credit programs, to include program recruitment, advisement, student admission and registration, and transition activities.

Primary duties will include, but are not limited to: 

Admissions, Registration and Enrollment Duties:

  • Develops yearly dual enrollment calendar and establishes and implements a timeline and processes for all tasks related to DE recruitment, enrollment, retention, and reporting – including dual enrollment application, testing, registration, and enrollment roster due dates.
  • Assists with the administration of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) and dual enrollment programs in accordance with administrative policies and procedures
  • Coordinators partnership within the College and liaise among three areas on campus: Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Advising.
  • Develops and maintains effective relations with high school personnel and facilitates seamless transition from high school to postsecondary matriculation; Maintains student Career Pathway files and updates enrollment status of FTIC Career Pathways students.
  • Works with Academic Affairs to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive plan to provide an array of CTE and dual enrollment classes/programs, services, and site-specific maps throughout the communities serviced by the college.
  • Facilitates and supervises various aspects of the enrollment process for dual credit, career dual credit and career pathways programs, including high school relations, student admission and registration, and matriculation of dual credit students to Tallahassee Community College.
  • Collects, codes, and disseminates class rosters for registration of dual enrollment students each semester, and initiate drop/add/withdrawal procedures for students. Ensure students are registered in the College’s Student Information System.
  • Responsible for assisting with generating reports that indicate headcount and FTE produced each semester, estimates of costs to the institution, comparisons of enrollments and outcomes in various courses at various schools.
  • Support the Office of Admissions and Records in securing outstanding grades, incompletes, or missing grades for specific students.
  • Assists with the coordination of placement testing process in partner schools or at TCC.
  • Establishes and maintains a database of DE participants who enroll in college after high school graduation for reporting on enrollment, retention, and completion.
  • Maintains records in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations, and provides accurate data for submission of state and federal reports dealing with dual credit programs.
  • Coordinates special events and activities for dual credit programs on the TCC campus such as campus tours, arena registration, and new student orientation. 

Advising Duties:

  • Assists in planning and identifying the most appropriate dual enrollment courses and assists in the coordinate of scheduling and delivery of such courses and related services.
  • Assists with the creation of Academic Maps for high school students.

MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of related experience (five years preferred), of which one year of the required experience must have involved working in a dual enrollment program.   The Master’s degree is also preferred, and may substitute for one year of the required experience, but may not substitute for the required experience working in a dual enrollment program.
