Alpha Trains has owned and leased locomotives and passenger trains for nearly 24 years. More than 140 employees of various nationalities are active across Europe. Our more than 1,000 locomotives and passenger trains are utilized in 22 European countries.

Who we are looking for

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will actively contribute to our company’s success. Ideally, you are eager to actively engage and commit yourself in our finance department to shape the future with us.



WHAT WOULD KEEP YOU BUSY

You will work as a General Ledger Accountant for various international entities. You will handle payroll accounting, travel expenses, and operational accounting tasks. You will be responsible for monthly and annual financial statements, including those for international entities. You will manage fixed asset accounting. With your expertise, you will support VAT declarations. You will assist our auditors with financial inquiries. Cooperation with external accounting providers regarding documents, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements

WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM

The best qualifications for this position are:

Ideally, you have 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting. We work with Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365 and expect corresponding user knowledge. Experience with IFRS / HGB. Experience in intercompany accounting. We communicate in German and English within the company, so you must be able to communicate in both languages. Proactive and positive approach and demeanor. You understand how to communicate at eye level with different management levels and stakeholders.
