Job Description
The Cyber Security and IT Audit Manager (m/f/d) at METRO AG plays a pivotal role in planning, managing, and executing cyber security and IT-related audit activities across METRO AG and its entities. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that regular cyber security audit activities are conducted to identify areas for improvement in information security within METRO and to establish effective and robust technical and organizational measures to mitigate identified risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct cyber security and IT-related audits to identify vulnerabilities within METRO AG and its national and international entities. Manage the effective resolution of identified vulnerabilities by following up on audit findings and implementing necessary remediation measures. Oversee the progress of Cyber Security Programs through regular implementation reviews of short-term measures and quality assurance of project milestones. Collaborate with and provide advisory support to the CISO organization and METRO Digital on cyber security-related topics. Develop cybersecurity-related audit programs tailored to the specific needs of METRO AG and its entities. Present audit results to senior management of audited entities, providing clear insights and recommendations for improvement. Follow up on findings from past audits to ensure corrective actions have been implemented and effective.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in auditing, information security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. More than 4 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on security auditing or a related field. Professional experience in the wholesale/retail industry is desirable. Familiarity with critical infrastructure regulations is desirable. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. Proficiency in audit, risk assessment, and management methodologies. Knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. CISA and/or CISSP certification or willingness to certify accordingly.
