LiveEO is applying the latest developments in artificial intelligence to analyse satellite data and is bringing the insights of earth observation data to customers in the enterprise sector. LiveEO’s ambitious goal is to monitor 1 billion assets across the globe with its unique SaaS solution until 2030.
We are looking for highly skilled Senior ModelOps and MLOps Engineers with experience in bringing sophisticated ETL pipelines and machine learning systems to production to join our dynamic team.
LiveEO leverages satellite imagery and artificial intelligence to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making across various industries. You will be joining a team which focuses on the precise detection of deforestation globally, to make supply chains more sustainable and products deforestation-free.
- Design, implement, and maintain cost efficient, resilient and scalable ETL, and ML (inference and training) pipelines for both production and to enable data scientists.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement model training and automation solutions that enhance our product offerings.
- Work with orchestration engines such as Prefect to orchestrate and automate data workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inference and training pipelines.
- Become a key expert for ModelOps best practices in the company.
- Refactor, redesign, rebuild existing services.
- Align with other software, machine learning, data and infrastructure experts in the company and influence the evolution of our tech stack.
- Mentor more junior and software engineers and review their MRs.
- Strong experience in designing, automating, implementing, monitoring and maintaining services around model training and inference and adjacent fields.
- Experience with an AI application platform such as Anyscale / Ray, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Experience with Python or another major programming language, with a strong emphasis on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with model training services like AWS Sagemaker or PyTorch Lightning.
- Some experience with DataOps and best practices around data engineering.
- Knowledge of parallel computing, including concurrent programming and performance optimisation, to handle high-volume data processing tasks.
- Experience in building ML systems around image data, particularly satellite imagery.
- Familiarity with geospatial data processing tools and techniques, such as PostGIS and Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs (COGs).
