Network Security Engineer (f/m/d)

Our Offer:

With a team of experienced colleagues, you are ensuring the maximum possible service availability and performance for DE-CIX’ Service Connect Platform. Located within the Infrastructure & Operations team, the Network Security Engineers are responsible for managing and enhancing our global firewalling and VPN services. You will be mainly responsible for:

Ensuring stable and reliable IT services with focus on network security Day-to-day network performance monitoring as well as improving our measurement methodologies Troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair. Design and Deployment of services either on-premises or cloud based Improve the constantly ongoing automation of our platform Participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation.

What's important to us:

Strong networking skills (Ethernet, IP, Routing) Experience in network security engineering, vendors ( Fortinet) as well as in operations of network security in Cloud and Container based environments ( Azure, K8s) Ability to automate your work by using scripting or programming languages ( bash, perl, python) Knowledge in monitoring tools ( Zabbix) Able to analyze problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery. A reliable, structured and independent way of working, as well as good communication skills
