RESPONSIBILITIES

 Management of a laboratory with several employees in the field of research and development for active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and drug delivery systems

Development of complex chemical syntheses and production processes in a GMP environment while adhering to schedule and budget

Management of the transfer to a pilot or production plant (batch or continuous processes)

Support and optimisation of existing production processes under cGMP

Evaluation of new production processes with regard to manufacturing costs and technical feasibility

Development of project plans for process development and implementation

Comprehensive internal and external communication with customers as technical project manager

Leading innovation projects and implementing innovative technologies

REQUIREMENTS

Successfully completed university studies in chemistry including a doctorate with a focus on organic synthesis, preferably with a postdoc

Professional experience in the field of process development and/or production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates under cGMP is an advantage

Strong chemical, technical and analytical understanding for clarifying and evaluating complex issues in the process development and production environment

Ability and enthusiasm for leading laboratory and interdisciplinary project teams

Knowledge of project management is advantageous, experience abroad is desirable

Very good written and spoken German and English skills

Commitment, reliability and performance required, even under high loads

Convincing appearance with very good intercultural communication and cooperation skills as well as customer orientation
