Your Role

As a (Senior) Pricing Actuary you will lead a staff member, also being part of a team and reporting to the Head of P&C International Pricing.

Responsibility for setting default and benchmark parameters for the international treaty business in property and casualty insurance; strengthening the feedback process between historical performance metrics and the determination of prospective pricing parameters in all major P&C business lines Responsibility for the organisation of pricing reviews, development and application of the pricing control framework, including compliance with guidelines and training Contribute to the conceptual and technical development of new and improvement of existing property and casualty pricing tools; this includes contributing to the improvement and refinement of pricing methodologies and benchmark models Supporting the conception and design of performance metrics and their connection to the pricing tools Supporting quantitative risk management, including the determination of target margins and the further development of underlying capital models Pricing for complex reinsurance structures and supporting local underwriters in this task Contribute to the use and implementation of AI in Gen Re's own pricing and performance measurement applications

Your Profile

Degree in mathematics/statistics or a similar subject. Ideally at least 5 years of professional experience in (re)insurance, preferably in pricing in property and casualty insurance, with a completed actuarial training at a recognised association (DAV/IFoA/Cas/etc.) Very good knowledge of Excel and proven experience with programming languages such as R or Python Fluent in English; knowledge of German desirable Strong communication and presentation skills Teamplayer with an affinity for sustainable networking and an eye for detail, whoalso achieves excellent results independently and actively seeks improvementsto current processes
