The SeniorDirector, Cell Line Development for Cytiva is responsible forleading the viral vector cell line development business, drivingcontinuous improvement and ultimately ensuring long-term businesssuccess.

This position is partof the Viral Vector business unit in the Genomic Medicine OperatingCompany located in Cologne, Germany and will be on site. At Cytiva,our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery todelivery.

What youwill do:

  • Ensuresmooth transition into Cytiva and Danaher through leadership acrossfunctions, while protecting, preserving and enhancing Cevec’shighly innovative culture
  • Lead thecell line development team ensuring that customer projects aredelivered on time and to their satisfaction. Lead customer auditswhen requested
  • Inspiring and instilling amindset of continuous improvement in your team using DBS to ensurethat our cell line development offering remains worldleading
  • Provide leadership and direction to allpersonnel within the site
  • Accelerate talentmanagement to ensure the continued development for direct reports.Partner closely with the human resources organization in developingorganizational capabilities through succession planning,organizational assessment, identification of key skill gaps, talentacquisition and talent development strategies that link withbusiness goals.
  • Communicate values, strategies,and objectives within the plant. Effectively communicate withvarious stakeholders, including leadership team, associates,suppliers, andcustomers.
  • Ensure compliance withlocal safety regulations and promote a culture of safety,responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols toprotect both employees and the environment. Ensure thatenvironmental regulations and good practices are adheredto.

Whoyouare:

  • Master’sDegree, Ph.D. or equivalent in related life sciences with 15+ yearscommercial, product development, strategic planning and generalmanagement experience in a related Life Sciencesindustry.
  • Data drivenapproach to decision making, track record of developing businesscases or strategicproposals.
  • Experiencedin working with financial modelling, building credibility withcustomers, key opinion leaders, internal stakeholders and abilityto connect with senior leaders at globalcustomers.
  • Seasonedleader with ability to develop and scale businesses and talent,having led seasoned functional experts and leader ofleaders.

Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein:

  • ViralVector/ Genomic Medicine workflows and licencing/ services valuepropositions
  • Leading cell linedevelopmentteams
