Alpha Trains has owned and leased locomotives and passenger trains for nearly 24 years. More than 140 employees of various nationalities are active across Europe. Our more than 1,000 locomotives and passenger trains are utilized in 22 European countries.

Who we are looking for

An HR-Manager (m/f/d) located in Cologne, Germany with international experience, ideally with expertise in social security and tax matters.



WHAT WOULD KEEP YOU BUSY

The HR team is internationally structured and supports subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Your tasks include:

Independently creating labor law documents throughout the entire employee lifecycle Providing professional leadership to the local HR team Taking full responsibility for the entire recruiting process for defined positions Coordinating and managing external payroll service providers Handling complex labor law and social security issues, e.g., DBA wages, secondments, policy creation, etc. Preparing HR reports for internal and external stakeholders Independently developing and implementing HR (digitalization) projects Close collaboration with the departments of Tax, Finance, Legal, IT

WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM

The best qualifications for this position are:

Several years of experience in international HR work Excellent knowledge of tax, social security, and labor law Proficient in MS Office Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken Careful, independent, and reliable working style Initial leadership experience is desirable Confident communication at various management levels Enjoy working with people in an international and dynamic company High intercultural competence Excellent communication skills and team orientation
