Working Student Cat Model

The main duty in this role is to (1) implement a pipeline for enhancing the exposure model using big datasets publicly available and leveraging innovative techniques, and (2) enhance the SCOR view of risk for earthquakes from the enriched exposure model.


Conducting Nat Cat related research and translate the research insights into positive impacts for the business.  Leveraging data science and machine learning techniques to enhance the exposure data sets of SCOR with open-access datasets – specially for central and south America.  Reporting analytics essential for the implementation of a pipeline for ingestion of open-access datasets. Making data quality recommendations for improvement in the highlighted regions. Working with Cat R&D to enhance the SCOR view of risk for earthquakes. This includes leveraging findings from the research project and modifying existing exposure models to reflect risk changes and to generate business opportunities.  Supporting in R&D projects for the production environment. 
Student, preferably in mathematics, engineering, or a related field. Proficient in data manipulation (programming in python)
