Technical Sustainability Manager Global Tubular Glass

- Coordination and monitoring of the implementation of sustainability standards and global requirements in the Business Unit "Tubular Glass" worldwide
- Establishment and monitoring of initiatives and programs to achieve defined sustainability goals in close collaboration with the plant managers of all Tubular Glass sites
- Identification of best practices regarding environmental issues such as energy, water, waste, emissions, etc., and promotion of their implementation at production sites
- Observation and evaluation of trends and legal requirements
- Enhancement of sustainability awareness in the "Tubular Glass" sector through training, communication, information provision, and awareness campaigns
- Ensuring systematic data collection for the business area for external sustainability reporting in cooperation with the central Sustainability Management of the Gerresheimer Group
- Participation in national and international working groups in the field of sustainability such as BV Glas, FEVE, as well as advising the business unit management
Qualifikationen
Your profile should include the following skill set:
- Completed environmental engineering, engineering, or natural science degree or a comparable qualification with a focus on ecological sustainability
- Initial relevant professional experience in sustainability management in a manufacturing company, ideally in the packaging industry
- Technical understanding and interest in implementing ecological sustainability at process and product levels, especially CO2 reduction and circular economy
- Experience with external sustainability reporting standards is desirable
- Knowledge of the European emissions trading system is advantageous
- Negotiation-proficient German and fluent English skills
- Assertiveness, initiative, and responsible conduct
- Willingness to travel
