You can look forward to

​Developing and evaluating risk, pricing models, and parametric products for weather, climate, and geophysical risks Contributing to process automation and efficiency by optimising tools, and developing scope for automation in underwriting and claims management in close exchange with the global data science community Developing new coverage concepts for primary insurance and reinsurance solutions Expanding access to weather and climate data Analysing, modelling, and pricing existing contracts and new business opportunities worldwide in close collaboration with underwriting teams Conducting internal and external training activities in parametric insurance solutions and services Collaborating on projects for product development and market cultivation

You come equipped with

Degree in meteorology, geophysics, hydrology etc. with knowledge of stochastics  Initial experience in data analytics, ideally in assessing the risks associated with natural perils or in the field of parametric insurance, obtained through internships or employment as a working student Experience of working with geospatial data Knowledge of different data science methods Knowledge of a higher programming language, R and Python are particularly relevant  Proficient user skills in English, knowledge of German and other languages is an asset  Willingness to go on occasional business trips worldwide, roughly two to four times a year  Opportunity-focused thinking and action as well as your networking skills, extending also to the international contex
