The Sperry Marine Engineering Team based in Hamburg in Germany and New Malden in the UK, have responsibility for the development and maintenance of Sperry Marine’s wide product portfolio, and ambitious development roadmap.

We are a truly multidisciplinary team, with engineers from electronics, software, mechanical, system engineering and system test backgrounds all working in integrated teams to develop best in class products and solutions. We foster development, and your knowledge and career will develop no matter your experience when you first join the team.

To support our ambitious roadmap and growth plans we are actively increasing the size of our teams, creating a great opportunity for a skilled  Systems and Requirements Engineer  to join us for a fixed period of time

Key Responsibilities & Attributes

Conduct systems engineering activities throughout the solution lifecycle for multiple engineering development projects, including following activities:

The role includes conception and architecture development of hardware and software solutions in close cooperation with the HW and SW specialists for our systems With your analytical way of thinking, you will develop concepts and solutions for a system that can be flexibly scaled to the respective requirements profile. You will develop the overall system architecture, define operating concepts and the design of the UIDs, and maintain the requirements in a requirements management system. As a system expert, you serve as a central point of contact and promote the transfer of knowledge between the various technical areas. In terms of continuous improvement, you will actively shape processes and procedures.

About You:

Technical Skills

Experience of systems requirements management, definition, design, integration, acceptance and analysis Knowledge of System Engineering models and techniques. Able to use logical and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions Good technical writing skills. Strong IT skills, specifically with MS Office products. Specialist Knowledge Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering / technical subject (e.g. electrical/electronic engineering or a comparable field of study, e.g. computer science, aerospace engineering, physics) Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS or similar) In-depth knowledge of development and test lifecycles Experience in the development of embedded systems (hardware/software). Specialist knowledge in the areas of system development and requirements engineering. Good knowledge of German and fluent English
