Summary

We are looking for a "Software Engineer for Linux Operating Systems (f/m/d)" for the "Radar Software Governance & Services" department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The "Radar Software Governance & Services" department develops cross-sectional software for various radar product families of HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH and is responsible for the topics "Command & Control", operating system application and IT security. State-of-the-art development methods from the areas of "Model-Driven Software Development" and "Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment" are used.

Your Tasks

Participation in the development of a cross-sectional Linux operating system platform

Specification of software requirements

Creation of software architectures with a focus on re-use and variant management as well as participation in the creation of technical concepts

Adaptation and configuration of the Linux operating system platform to project-specific requirements and implementation of software components to extend the Linux operating system platform

Planning and creating automated test cases

Active participation in the expansion of the existing Linux operating system platform with new innovative features

Your Profile

Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or comparable

Experience with the automation tool Ansible advantageous

In-depth knowledge of Linux through several years of professional experience in the use of Linux operating systems

Good to very good programming skills in C / C++ and scripting languages

Knowledge of DOORS, UML and Visual Studio Code advantageous

Strong ability to work in a team as well as independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working

Very good knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English
