Job Duties:

Business Development/Account Manager for large strategic OEM's within the Food & Packaging Industry for the Virginia market.

Primary responsibility is to develop the business strategy and business development objectives for the defined customers in this industry.

Effectively handle assigned customers through consultative selling and the technical understanding of applications.

Responsible for customer development, account planning, and maintaining documentation of visits and opportunities in Festo’s CRM tool.

Work effectively in a matrix based environment by collaborating and working with distribution, sales engineers, district managers, and application engineers.

Analyzes the market to search for new potential customers and automation trends in the industry.

Recommends pricing strategies according to customer situation in coordination with the objectives of the industry segment.

Is the main contact to customer and is responsible for the implementation project team, including the coordination of national or international projects.

Participate in an extensive training program of electric automation, pneumatic automation, sales and product training

Experience & Education Preferred:

BS in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.

5+ years of industry segment experience is preferred. 

Working knowledge of the Virginia market.

Experience working within a matrix based and multi channel organization, preferred.

Working knowledge of electric automation and pneumatic automation is required.

Field sales, key account management, experience.

Exposure or demonstrated involvement of strategic account development.
