Your tasks
:Accurately input and update data within the IUCN Species Information Service (SIS) system, ensuring all information is current, comprehensive, and adheres to established guidelinesgather data on target species to complete Red List assessmentsMaintain accurate records of species that have been listed and identify those that still need to be listed, ensuring the database is up-to-date and completesupporting volunteers, interns and students contributing to assessmentsEssential skills:
interest in the biology and conservation of marine invertebrate species, with a keen interest in understanding the IUCN red listing process and its significancepassion for orderly and complete documentation and detail; editorial experience for consistency in spelling and formattingexperience with organising and managing documentation and data, e.g. spreadsheetsfluency in EnglishDesirable skills:
experience or training working with marine biology, conservation biology or a related fieldknowledge of German languagefamiliarity with the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria; experience with Red List assessment processesWhat awaits you:

Working hours: Full time (40 hours/week) / Part time options are available
Type of contract: The contract should start on 1 November 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter; initially limited for the duration of maternity leave and
parental leave, probably until 31 August 2025
Salary: According to the German collective agreement TV-H (pay grade E 10-12) depending on your qualifications and previous experience.
