You can look forward to

You develop risk and pricing models for weather, climate and geophysical risks and contribute to process automation and efficiency by optimising tools.

Developing new coverage concepts for primary insurance and reinsurance solutions  Evaluating parametric products with a focus on weather, climate and geophysical risks  Expanding scope to access weather and climate data Analysing, modelling and pricing existing contracts and new business opportunities worldwide in close collaboration with underwriting teams Developing scope for automation in the underwriting process and in claims management, close exchange with the global data science community Conducting internal and external training activities in parametric insurance solutions and services  Collaborating on projects for product development and market cultivation 

You come equipped with

Degree in meteorology, geophysics, hydrology etc. with knowledge of stochastics  Initial experience in data analytics, ideally in assessing the risks associated with natural perils or in the field of parametric insurance, obtained through internships or employment as a working student Experience of working with geospatial data Knowledge of different data science methods Knowledge of a higher programming language, R and Python are particularly relevant  Proficient user skills in English (level C1-C2), knowledge of German and other languages is an asset  Willingness to go on occasional business trips worldwide, roughly two to four times a year
