Support Engineer

As we expand, we are seeking an experienced Senior Support Engineer (m/f/x) to join our Run-Time support team that is ensuring all the critical services of Lobster Intelligent Data Platform are up and running. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in resolving high-level technical challenges affecting product services and improving product reliability.

• Monitoring, maintaining, and managing customer networks to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshooting network issues related to outages, connectivity, bandwidth, and configuration, ensuring quick and effective recovery of services
• Implementing and configuring routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and RIP for efficient network traffic management 
• Engaging directly with customers and assisting them with system/network configuration issues
• Creating and updating technical documentation, such as internal knowledge base and troubleshooting guides

• Strong technical background with at least 3 years of proven experience resolving Level 2-3 incidents (ideally for SaaS/IaaS/PaaS products)
• Excellent knowledge of common networking protocols and key network operation activities
• Advanced knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Versatile skills in administrating at least one of the following databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, DB2
• An ability to handle stressful situations efficiently and stay professional when troubleshooting an incident and investigating underlying issues
• An ability to read Java code to recognise bugs would be a plus
• German speaking and writing skills at a C1 level and sufficient English level are required. Additional foreign languages like French, Danish, or Swedish are highly welcomed.
