For our international hygiene operations team we are looking for an experienced and analytical Category Manager with focus on direct materials.


What will you be doing as Category Manager?

As Category Manager you are responsible for all purchasing processes when it comes to the usage of direct materials within CWS Hygiene on a European scale. You take ownership for all relevant procurement strategies and look for ways to optimize and further develop our purchasing activities. You report directly to our Chief Operations Officer and work closely together with various departments as well as external suppliers.

Development and implementation of purchasing and product group strategies, in close cooperation with colleagues from Service, Operations, Finance and other departments;

You identify and evaluate our existing suppliers, establish long-term relationships with them;

Execution of tenders, RFQs, RFPs, etc. and negotiation of contracts;

You further develop and optimize our purchasing processes and systems;

You monitor and make sure that we adhere to compliance guidelines;

Build strong networks within CWS Hygiene as well as with external partners.

You have a bachelor or master degree in business administration or similar;

Strong experience in strategic purchasing in an international environment, experience in our sector would be an advantage;

We can describe you as a strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication and networking skills;

Affinity with contract law, supply chain and project management;

You are a teamplayer who easily connects with colleagues from different departments and regions;

You are fluent in English and German, a third Europe language proficiency is a pre;

Willingness to travel to different locations when needed.
