RESPONSIBILITIES

In our Analytical and Material Science unit we are looking for a research scientist to strengthen our activities in the field of electrical properties of materials.

You will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop and optimize material solutions for the electrical and electronics (E&E) industry with a special focus on the innovation fields e-mobility, autonomous transportation and energy supply. You will support R&D activities by comprehensively characterizing materials and providing a fundamental understanding of the underlying structure-property-relationships which will help to identify optimum material compositions and designs. Furthermore, you will use a set of commercial as well as customized high-end methods and develop them toward the needs and requirements. You will work closely together with other characterization labs in our unit. You will actively participate in the innovation process with project ideas of your own. As a research scientist, you will be responsible for managing your employees in subject-specific terms.

QUALIFICATIONS

PhD in physics, electrical engineeering, materials science or chemistry, on which you earned above-average marks

proven experience in advanced electrical properties and measurement methods, ideally in the field of high-voltage electrical testing or dielectrical properties of materials

good knowledge about physics (i.e. morphology and properties) and chemistry of polymeric materials

profound data mindset and ability to leverage digital skills and means to solve scientific problems

creative team player with strong cooperation as well as communication skills

good English skills
