Get to know the day-to-day work of a press spokesperson at Mercedes-Benz and take the opportunity to gain insights into the media work of an international company and play an active role in shaping it.
Within the global communication of Mercedes-Benz Cars, the Technology Communication department is responsible for the positioning of strategically relevant technology topics in the global public. To this end, we use a variety of channels to get every message to the right recipient in the right form. With our understanding of PR, we pursue an integrative approach that serves other target groups in addition to traditional media.
The Automated Driving, Safety and Complete Vehicle team focuses on the communication of all strategic topics relating to automated driving (e.g. highly automated driving with DRIVE PILOT or semi-automated functions of Intelligent Drive), vehicle safety (e.g. emergency braking systems in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, accident safety, crash tests) and the complete vehicle (e.g. bodywork topics, add-on parts, interior).
These are some of the challenges you will face:
Creating, editing and translating articles and texts for various channels Assisting with the processing of press inquiries, creating question and answer catalogs (Q&As) Assisting with the conception and implementation of TV and video productions Assisting with the creation of communication strategies Assisting with the preparation and implementation of media appointments and events, briefings, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Monitoring and documenting media coverage of Mercedes-Benz Research and preparation of figures, data and facts Competition analysisAll tasks are carried out in close exchange of information with international press and market colleagues.
QualifikationenOur requirements for you:
Degree in the field of communication sciences, business administration, public relations, humanities or social sciences, a technical degree program or a comparable degree program A desire to deal with technical topics and experience our products for yourself Confident written and spoken German and English skills Enjoy writing texts and linguistic subtleties are an advantage Confident handling of MS Office and social media Commitment and ability to work in a team, communication skills, analytical mindset and strategic way of working Other: Class B driver's license Temporary work in the "mobile office" is now standard for us. But we would like to fully integrate you into the team and therefore you bring the flexibility to be on site with us regularlyWorking hours: h/week
