At Siemens Technology, industrial user experience is considered as one of the key factors for creating business value by bridging the gap between human perception and technique.We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher in Data-driven User Experience and provide the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of industrial products and services based on your research findings and shape the future of Siemens. Together with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and industry professionals, you will conduct cutting-edge research, and contribute to the advancement of the technology field. Beyond this we will support you to publish your work, to visit international conferences, and to develop the ideas you have for the future of data-driven UX.
Please note that the contract is fixed to 24 months.
This is your role:
- Together with a team of researchers and industry professionals, you research and develop a Siemens specific UX KPI framework by identifying product specific KPI’s inspired by business unit specific business goals and compatible with generic UX KPI frameworks.
- You transfer your academic data science experience and knowledge into industrial environments
- You elaborate a framework for evaluating UX KPI’s consisting of suitable metrics, measuring tools and adequate visualization of results.
- You specify key data gathered from user and usage feedback which allow the determination of business relevant KPI’s with highest customer value.
- You coordinate various research directions among involved project partners.
- You support orchestrating a cross-company research program consisting of other stakeholders (esp. PhD students).
We expect from you:
- You have an outstanding Ph.D. in Computer Science, User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence or data science.
- You have sound knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
- Knowledge about well-established AI libraries is a plus.
- You demonstrated your ability to conduct independent research through publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
- You have proven experience and deep knowledge in implementing software.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication English skills with the ability to present complex ideas effectively. German skills are a plus.
- You show strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- You are a strong team player.
