Many of AutoScout24’s B2B customers rely on APIs to list and manage their stock (via Data Providers or directly) and monitor and optimize their business in so-called Dealer Management Systems. Those 3rd party systems have to be well integrated with AutoScout24’s product solutions to ensure smooth operations and deliver value to car dealers. As a Product Manager for 3rd Party Integrations and APIs, you will operate across 5 countries and at the heart of AutoScout24’s value proposition as a car classified. You will work closely with engineering, business development, and external partners to design, develop and manage a suite of API and integrations. You will be defining and driving a strategic API product vision across the company and helping identify third-party APIs that are needed for business success.
What you'll do:
API Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive API strategy that aligns with AutoScout24’s overall product vision and business objectives. Create and maintain a product roadmap for API and Integration projects. Manage and expand AutoScout24 API ecosystem including LeasingMarkt and AUTOproff to create a frictionless experience for our customers. Product Development: Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of new APIs, endpoints and integrations. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery and high-quality execution. Product Discovery: Conduct market research to understand trends in the automotive and classified ads industry and customer needs. Leverage those insights to inform product development. Third-Party Integrations: Identify, evaluate, and manage partnerships with third-party service providers and data sources that can enhance AutoScout24’s offering. Ensure seamless integration and functionality of third-party services. Performance Monitoring : Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for APIs and integrations to ensure steady listing influx and unlock incremental listings and revenue. Analyze product performance and user feedback to continuously improve and optimize offerings. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate internal teams (engineering, sales, marketing, customer support) and external partners to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure smooth Go-to-Market. Documentation & Training: Ensure that all APIs and integrations are well-documented. Provide training and support to internal teams and external partners as needed.Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of product management experience with focus on API Platform product management Technical skills (a plus) : Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, and data integration techniques. Experience with API design, documentation and monitoring tools (e.g., datadog). Proficient in using SQL. Analytical Skills: Curiosity to dive deep into data. Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and use this for defining solutions. Proficient in using data analytics tools to monitor product performance. Communication Skills: Very good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership. Leadership: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects across multiple product/tech teams simultaneously. Customer Focus: An appetite to understand customer needs and a commitment to delivering value through innovative product solutions. Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems, overcome challenges, and deliver results in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, environment.We are aware that great candidates don’t always tick a list of qualifications perfectly.
