YOUR ROLE
  • Lead projects related to modeling of flow behavior of adhesive, potting, coating and similar materials
  • Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to develop a detailed understanding of adhesive processing applications
  • Develop experimental methods to characterize the flow behavior and to validate simulation results
  • Interpret simulation results and give feedback about the findings from parameter studies to product development and external customers
YOUR SKILLS
  • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering / Material Science Engineering / Physics / Computational Science / Mechanics or equivalent field
  • Minimum 3-5 years total professional experience in relevant fields
  • Experience in the behavior, characterization and modeling of polymeric materials (e.g. CFD/FEA), in particular adhesives rheology
  • Experience in the definition of simulation workflows for highly non-linear material-specific flow behavior for polymers and polymer melts
  • Software knowledge in standard modeling tools, e.g. Ansys Fluent, Abaqus, OpenFOAM, COMSOL
  • Proficiency in automation of data processing and analysis using for example scripting languages (Python preferred)
  • Knowledge of typical agile project management methods is beneficial
  • Analytical thinking and self-reliant working methods
  • Fluent English language skills. German language skills are beneficial
