We are looking for an ESG Professional, who is focused, persistent and has a drive for achievement, to develop and oversee environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies and procedures, and review and appraise proposed actions to be socially and environmentally sustainable and comply with internationally recognized best practices. This person will also support in defining, implementing and reporting on the ESG strategy.

We want you to:

 

  • Manage complexity  Make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Work with cross-functional, multi-national teams to deliver reporting and due diligence.
  • Ensure accountability  Follow the organization's sustainability policies and procedures in order to mitigate environmental and social risks. Monitor effectiveness of initiatives and propose corrective action plans to improve regional performance.
  • Persuade  Use compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate direction by establishing policies, governance and control measures. 
  • Data collection and analysis Collate and analyze data using tools, methods, and formats. Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of disclosure and collection.
  • Policy and procedures Regulatory and compliance management  - advise more senior colleagues on more complex problems. Work without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on interpreting and applying knowledge of laws, regulations and policies in area of expertise.
  • Verbal communication Maintain routine and transparent communications with all stakeholders. Communicate with others without requiring supervision, build a knowledge hub and provide guidance through  clear, concise and compelling trainings.
  • Collaborate  Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications, such as standard office and data collection software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports. Monitor ESG regulations and trends within automotive sector.
  • B e independent and action oriented Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy. Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. For example, take immediate, decisive, independent action to resolve issues or problems. Persist as needed. Quickly and consistently identify and pursue beneficial new opportunities.
  • Work without supervision Provides technical guidance when required on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations. For example, closely work Corporate Governance function to ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Maintain structure and balance Identify and support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
  • Optimize work processes Know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. For example, pay close attention to a variety of metrics and benchmarks, determine both major and subtle ways to optimize processes, swiftly resolve process breakdowns, take steps to ensure that problems do not recur.
  • Train relevant stakeholders Apply comprehensive knowledge and skills to independently manage and apply safe systems of work while providing guidance and training to others.
About you:

 

  • University Degree (Bachelor/MBA etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related position or specialization
  • Prior hands-on experience in corporate sustainability disclosures and due diligence, including in consulting or financial services
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with little oversight
  • Prior experience in automotive industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, including ESRS/ EU Taxonomy/ ISSB / GRI/ TCFD
  • Subject-matter expertise in sustainability matters (preferrable: GHG emissions, circular economy, human rights, supply chain ESG), including related EU regulations
  • Knowledge of visual analytics platforms, e.g., Tableau/ Power BI, is desired but not required
