Global Controller

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Global Controller within our Finance team to help support our Hydraulics business at our Pacoma branch in Eschwege, Germany. Pacoma is one of the world's leading suppliers of hydraulic cylinders. Our cylinders are extensively used in the construction machinery industry, the automobile industry, and in engineering applications as well as in logistics and material handling. Furthermore our cylinders can also be used in agricultural and maritime applications etc. Pacoma stands out with its individual designs, its consistently superior global quality and its high-capacity production facilities. Our factory in Eschwege, Germany, can singularly handle a quarter million units per year working at normal capacity. With the opening of a dynamic modern facility in China in 2011, Pacoma is even better positioned to serve its customers with high output and convenient logistics. As a Global Controller, you will overseas and leads all the Finance strategic and tactical finance, planning, and accounting activities at global level

So, what will you do as Global Controller?

Leadership role in accounting processes for the branches on a global level.

Ensures all branch sustains and continually improves its Internal Control Environment. Ensures that all policy and procedures at different branches adhere to a system of internal controls.

Leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, accountable for accuracy and compliance on a global level.

Continually improves business processes to drive increased efficiency and higher quality in the FP&A capability at global level.

Ensure that global statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are met.

Serves as a primary point of contact with FP&A, Business Analytics and Corporate Accounting, addressing questions and reporting needs.

Leads, develops, and coaches direct reports and their teams.

To Be Successful You'll Need

Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation

(CMA, CPA) preferred

10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 4 years of managerial experience, experience in working on a global level

Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis,

management reporting, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), taxation, treasury, working capital, cash flow

management, costing and financial planning on a global level

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

Attention to detail and problem solving skills

Strong communication skills and leadership abilities, employee development experience
