Grafenwoehr, Germany, DEUJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionClient Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support a program onsite at Grafenwoehr, Germany.

Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions.
The Network Engineer provides overall communications architecture for the JMSC and spoke sites, with coordination responsibility with outside agencies and stakeholders. The Network Engineer supports development of communications architectures, coordination of communications plans, configuration of communications equipment, implementation of Network Information Assurance processes, and assists in installing equipment and circuitry in support of distributed exercises.
The Network Engineer supports the coordination all aspects of the communications architecture and exercise support plans with communications planners at other simulation facilities, Network Enterprise Center (NEC), theater signal assets, and participating tactical units. Plans include distribution of data, voice, and VTC over both LAN and WAN in both classified and unclassified modes for simulations/stimulation networks; NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and tactical networks. More than 80% of the duties associated with position are technical in nature.
How Your Role Will Make an Impact: Develop Enterprise Network Architecture to include LAN/WAN, encryption, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, security, software defined network (SDN), voice, video, data, collaboration and Cloud componentsMaintain network architecture and infrastructure for multiple networks.
Develop and implement network and service monitoring capabilities, with a focus on managing capacity and performance and diagnosing and resolving network problems while ensuring secure operationsManage Configuration and optimization for all network devices (to include but not limited to firewalls, Cross Domain Solution (CDS), Virtual Infrastructure, servers, hubs, routers, and switches.
Monitor changing network technology and deliver a technology update to the executive team each quarter
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade operating systems software.
Work with JMSC Government and contract staff, and outside stakeholders to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the networkEnsuring the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network servicesSupport the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation. Ensures security analysis and integration throughout the life-cycleSecures network system by enforcing Government policies; develops and executes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Best Business Practices (BBPs) for EOPM&D assigned Government Information Systems and associated networkMaintain necessary information assurance protocols and services on stimulation/simulation information systems and associated network enclaves that includes but not limited to: System lock-down procedures, operating system patches, and stimulation/simulation software patchesResponsible for creating and administering Continuity of Operation Plans (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans that ensure the availability of Government Information Systems and associated network enclavesManage and implement compliance with Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) as defined/required by RMF Security Controls and Defense Information System Agency (DISA) requirements/BBPsManage/Coordinate/Execute incident response and handling procedures according to Government regulations, policies, procedures, and associated RMF Security Controls.
Supports as needed other set-up, transition, and break down for all training and training support activities pertaining to this task order.
Participate in individual training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and exercise and training events and supports the planning and preparation processes and product development as needed. Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret w/SCIEducation: A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent related experience OR an associate's degree plus 7 years of recent related experience OR a major certification plus 7 years of recent related experience OR 11 years of recent related experience.
Certification: DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements IAT Level II Outstanding work ethic and personal integrity.
