Munich Area, Germany Workplace: On-site Employment type: Full-time COTECO Internacional is looking for an experienced Network Systems Administrator to join a long-term international project within a secure NATO environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation, administration, security, maintenance and optimisation of enterprise network platforms supporting critical business services.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure the reliable daily operation of network platforms and monitor system performance.
- Install, configure, maintain, document and upgrade network hardware and system software.
- Administer network security in accordance with established procedures and security requirements.
- Investigate network failures and incidents, restore service and document corrective actions.
- Maintain configuration records, technical documentation and operating procedures.
- Administer PKI systems, including Certificate Authorities and certificates.
- Support VTC systems and services, including SIP, H323, Gatekeeper and real-time communications.
- Support proxy services, encryption devices, Wireless LAN Controllers and Mobile Device Management solutions.
- Work closely with other infrastructure, application, DBA and support teams.
- Participate in planned maintenance, continuity activities and occasional travel to backup or remote sites. Mandatory requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Network Systems Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Cisco network systems and devices .
- In-depth knowledge of LAN, SAN, WAN, VLAN and WLAN design and management.
- Experience administering and maintaining SAN Brocade FabricOS .
- Proven experience with encryption devices and IPSec .
- Experience with IDS/IPS/IRS systems .
- Experience with Secure Email Gateway (SEG) or equivalent email-security solutions.
- Experience administering Syslog services .
- Experience with PKI systems, Certificate Authorities and certificates .
- Experience with MDM solutions such as MobileIron .
- Experience with Wireless LAN Controllers .
- Experience with HTTPS proxy services such as Squid .
- Experience with network monitoring solutions such as Nagios / MRTG .
- Experience supporting VTC systems and services .
- Strong troubleshooting, incident-management and change-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multinational and multidisciplinary technical teams. Highly valued
- CCNA or CCNP certification.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience with Linux SLES and/or Windows Server.
- Experience with application servers such as Tomcat.
- Experience in NATO, defence, government or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of NATO security regulations.
