About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Application Engineer (m/w/d) for our Schutztechnik division based in Kempen. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and validating application functions for our multifunctional protection devices. Your work will span from technical conception to practical application, ensuring that our solutions meet customer requirements and adhere to relevant standards. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including development, product management, and sales support, as well as external development partners, to deliver innovative and reliable protection solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the evolution of energy protection technology in a dynamic, international environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in protection technology and hands-on experience in developing and validating application functions for protection devices. A successful applicant should have a university degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field, along with several years of professional experience in application development within this domain. Proficiency in simulation tools, laboratory equipment, and relevant standards and guidelines is essential. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a structured approach to work are crucial. Excellent communication skills in both German and English, along with the ability to present complex technical information clearly, are required. The candidate should demonstrate a self-reliant, organized, and dependable work style, with a team-oriented mindset. Responsibilities
• Design and develop application functions based on customer specifications and industry standards.
• Evaluate and validate functions through calculations, simulations, and laboratory experiments to ensure performance and compliance.
• Process and provide measurement data as input parameters for application functions, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Create and execute detailed developer tests, technical specifications, and requirement documents.
• Verify compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, and participate in certification processes.
• Support the Verification & Validation (V&V) department by preparing test plans and technical documentation.
• Assist in analyzing and resolving customer technical inquiries and fault scenarios on-site or remotely.
• Collaborate closely with software and hardware development teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of protection devices.
• Document technical processes, create application notes, and generate comprehensive reports on testing outcomes.
