München, Brandenburg, Deutschland Minerva Humanoids Vollzeit

About the role
Minerva Humanoids builds humanoid robots for the most dangerous jobs on the planet: offshore rigs, refineries, chemical plants, bomb disposal, and hazardous substance decontamination. Our robots operate in explosive atmospheres and extreme temperatures, so the electrical system has to be safe, robust, and certifiable from day one. As Senior Electrical Engineer, you own key parts of the robot's electrical system: custom PCBs, battery, power distribution, and harnessing. You work from architecture through to hands-on bring-up and field testing. As an early hire, you can grow into leading an area such as power or battery as the team scales.

What you'll do
• Own custom PCB design and electrical component selection against functional, power, thermal, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Own battery and power distribution design, built to the safety and certification requirements of hazardous environments (ATEX, IECEx).
• Design harnesses and select connectors together with the mechanical team, including routing and serviceability.
• Contribute to the electrical architecture, make-versus-buy decisions, and the roadmap toward a certified, scalable product.
• Work with the team on actuator and sensor selection and integration, with a focus on power delivery and control.
• Prototype, assemble, bring up, and test hardware yourself.
• Support field tests and customer demonstrations, and turn the findings into design improvements. What you'll bring
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in robotics or a related field such as aerospace or motorsport.
• Boards you have taken from schematic and layout through bring-up into a product used in the field.
• Strong power electronics skills, including switch-mode power circuits, and experience with high-speed communication buses.
• Working knowledge of motor control and EMI/EMC.
• Hands-on experience building and debugging electrical assemblies and harnesses.
• Engineering documentation that others can build on.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for field tests and customer demonstrations. Nice to have
• ATEX, IECEx, or intrinsic safety design experience.
• Functional safety standards such as IEC 61508 or ISO 13849.
• Battery system

experience:
battery management, protection, and transport certification.
• Industrial fieldbuses such as EtherCAT.
• RF design experience. Compensation and benefitsWe believe that those working on life-saving missions should share in the success of that mission.
• Very competitive base salary.
• Significant equity in Minerva Humanoids.
