Supplier Quality Engineer

A Snapshot of Your Day You work closely with suppliers, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure purchased electrical components meet quality and performance expectations. Your day includes supplier communication, qualification activities, audits, issue resolution, and analysis of quality trends. You support product and process qualification, coordinate corrective actions, and contribute to supplier development initiatives. You also collaborate with global colleagues and suppliers across the EMEA region while helping improve quality processes and supporting product transfers to the Budapest site. How You’ll Make An Impact
• Primary interface for supplier quality topics across manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and suppliers
• Responsibility for supplier qualification and requalification, capability assessments, and product and process qualification to ensure production readiness
• Planning and execution of supplier audits, verification of compliance with applicable standards, and follow-up of corrective actions
• Monitoring of supplier quality performance, analysis of incidents and trends, and implementation of risk-based improvement and escalation measures
• Ownership of supplier-related nonconformances and complaints, including containment, root-cause analysis, and sustainable corrective and preventive actions
• Development of supplier capabilities, continuous improvement initiatives, preventive quality planning, early supplier involvement, and enhancement of supplier quality processes, tools, and standards What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• mid-term professional experience in supplier quality management, procurement, or manufacturing within the electrical or energy sector
• Experience in supplier qualification, supplier audits, product and process qualification, and technical supplier development as a strong advantage
• Knowledge of quality management methods such as FMEA, 8D, root-cause analysis, and advanced product quality planning
• Strong organizational, analytical, strategic, and intercultural skills combined with a proactive, self-reliant, and improvement-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English and German, willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time, and ability to obtain a passport if required About The Team Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
