Berlin, Deutschland Cell Labs Vollzeit
We build humanoid systems: full stack, from hardware and electronics to software and manufacturing, all in-house in Berlin. At Cell Labs, we push the boundary of what robotics can achieve. Our goal is clear: to build systems that empower humans, not replace them. Our technology is already deployed with industry-leading customers and partners. Now, our own product is close to launch. The quiet phase is over. We are looking for people who want to be here early, take ownership, and help us build what others only talk about.

Location:
Berlin (on-site) Start: Asap Employment Type: Full-time Tasks
• Electronics & PCB Design: Design electronic systems for humanoid robots, from motor drivers to sensor interfaces. Create schematics and multi-layer PCBs in Altium or KiCad, from prototype to production.
• Microcontrollers & FPGAs: Select and integrate ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics (STM32) and AMD Xilinx FPGAs for motor control, sensor processing, and real-time communication. Bring up new boards and write low-level firmware and VHDL where needed.
• Motor Control & Power: Develop motor driver and power electronics for the actuators, including battery management, power distribution, and protection circuits.
• Integration & Wiring: Work with the mechanical team to integrate electronics into the robot, including cable routing, connectors, and heat management. Build and solder wiring harnesses for prototypes and test setups.
• Testing & Documentation: Bring up, debug, and validate boards, including EMC and reliability testing. Keep schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams and test reports up to date.
• Production Readiness: Optimize designs for series production with cost and manufacturability in mind. Work with PCB manufacturers and suppliers on ramp-up and testing in production.
• Systems Integration: Work closely with mechanical and software engineers so that hardware, firmware, and control systems work together seamlessly. Requirements
• Background: You studied electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or something close to it.
• Electronics Design: You design PCBs in Altium, KiCad, or similar tools, and you understand mixed-signal circuits. Sensors, actuators, power electronics, and signal conditioning are familiar ground for you.
• Embedded Hardware: You've worked with microcontrollers, ideally STM32, and you're comfortable bringing up new boards. Experience with AMD Xilinx FPGAs is a strong plus.
• Safety & EMC: You know how to handle EMC, grounding, and safety standards in hardware design, and you think about them from the first schematic, not just before certification.
• Hands-on: You like having a soldering iron, oscilloscope, and multimeter on your bench. You work precisely, build prototypes quickly, and enjoy tracking down why a board doesn't behave.
• Robotics: You're curious about robotics and complex electromechanical systems, and you want to see your electronics move a real machine.
• Languages: Fluent English. German is a plus. Benefits
• Your work goes into a real robot: The boards, power systems, and wiring you design end up in humanoid robots we build ourselves. You take ownership of real subsystems and see them go from schematic to a moving machine.
• Everything under one roof: Office, workshop, and test rigs are in the same building in Kreuzberg. Your boards go from layout to bring-up on the bench in no time, and the mechanical and software engineers are a short walk away, not a ticket.
• Room to grow: Paid learning time and a personal budget for courses, conferences, and the tools you need. You'll get space to try new components, architectures, and ideas, and you'll take on more responsibility as the company grows.

Benefits:
A benefits package you put together yourself, covering mobility, health, food, or fitness. Plus one extra paid day off a year for volunteering or a project you care about.

How to Apply
Send us your CV and a few projects you've worked on. Ideally, include a board or electronic system you designed and brought up yourself, with a short note on the challenges and how you solved them. No cover letter needed. Process: Intro call → Technical deep-dive → On-site visit → Offer We build robots for everyone, so we want a team that reflects that. We hire on what you can do, and we welcome applications from people who are underrepresented in engineering and tech. If you don't tick every box but think this is your job, apply anyway.
