You take ownership of inventory reporting, sales & demand planning alignment, and PO budget control - helping us keep working capital, cost, and margin visible and under control.
In this role, you strengthen an area that's growing in scope and complexity. Working closely with a Senior Ops Controller, you help build resilience into critical, closing-relevant processes and act as a reliable partner to our Global Supply Planning team and HQ Finance - turning operational data into clear financial insight.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
Your core tasks will include:
- Inventory Reporting & Analysis: Own the monthly inventory reporting and forecasting process. You will analyze stock levels, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize working capital.
- Sales & Demand Planning: Conduct monthly sales and demand planning checks, ensuring financial alignment and consistency between operational forecasts and commercial targets.
- Purchase Order Management & Budget Control: Oversee the approval workflow for Purchase Orders (POs) and track PO budget consumption to ensure cost control and budget compliance.
- Slow Mover Management: Take ownership of slow-moving inventory. This includes conducting long-tail analyses, calculating necessary write-offs/provisions, and coordinating scrapping requests.
- COGS & Margin Analysis: Analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and its direct impact on the contribution margin, helping us identify profitability drivers including tracking of special/one-off effects within COGS.
- Backup & Process Resilience: Act as backup for closing-relevant Ops Controlling tasks, ensuring continuity of critical month-end and reporting processes.
- Act as a reliable sparring partner for our Global Supply Planning team, supporting them with regular cost reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for OPEX cost lines.
- Provide cost transparency and insights to both local leadership and HQ finance teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements across reporting structures.
- Support Finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements, SAP implementation or BI tool integrations.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Financial Reporting roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, PowerQuery, pivot tables, modeling).
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally Business Central and/or SAP.
- Strong understanding of inventory
- Ability to manage large data sets with precision and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts simply.
